The international co-operation project ART SPACE UNLIMITED has set itself the goal of demonstrating and applying possibilities and ways of making contemporary art spaces accessible to a wider audience. As part of a “public seminar”, the above-mentioned experts will present and discuss models and experiences of social inclusion in art and culture at four tables. This will be followed by a plenary report on the findings at the individual stations.

Guidance through the evening and moderation of the tables:
Alba Colomo, Clara Piazuelo – La Escocesa, Barcelona
Rita Kalman, Hajnalka Somogyi – OFF-Bienniale Budapest
Margarethe Makovec & Anton Lederer – < rotor >, Graz
Liri Hashani, Ajete Kërqeli – Foundation 17, Prishtina
Max Dvorák, Helena Jonášová – tranzit.cz, Prague

The event language is English.
Admission free!

Five non-profit institutions from the field of art have joined forces to learn from each other and find new ways to open up to audiences that have had little access to institutionalised culture so far. Initiated by La Escocesa (Barcelona), OFF-Biennale (Budapest), < rotor > (Graz), Foundation 17 / Shtatëmbëdhjetë (Prishtina) and tranzit.cz / Biennale Matter of Art (Prague), Art Space Unlimited builds on the respective artistic and art education experiences of these institutions and offers opportunities for local groups to participate in socially and politically engaged exhibitions and art productions. The participating art spaces organise events that focus on the mediation of art and gather further expertise in the course of the project with the intention of supporting art institutions in gaining relevance for new audiences.
