The three artists participated in a workshop in Berat, Albania, at the end of June, which was made possible through the intermediary of the Cultural City Network, Graz, and the first embassy secretary in Tirana, Mr. Martin Gärtner. We would especially like to thank this art lover. For the artists, two weeks made it possible to gain insight into a country which was totally new to them. That the whole thing would be interesting, was clear from the beginning, who can imagine what Albania is like anyway? But nobody expected that this unknown land would influence the production of the three in a massive and immediate way, which was the case thereafter. <<
